Can I Get Just One T-Shirt Printed?
“I only need one, though…”
That's absolutely fine.
There's a common assumption that custom T-shirt printing means ordering 20, 50 or even 100 identical shirts.
Sometimes you don't need 100.
Sometimes you quite literally need one.
Maybe it's a birthday present. Perhaps you've got a ridiculous idea that only makes sense to you and your mates. Maybe you need a single branded shirt for your business, or you're testing a design before committing to a larger order.
Whatever the reason, one-off T-shirt printing gives you the freedom to create something completely individual without filling a cupboard with another 49 of them.
Can I really order just one custom T-shirt?
Yes.
At Print Pot, you don't have to place a large bulk order to have a T-shirt personalised.
We can produce individual garments as well as larger quantities for businesses, clubs, teams, events and organisations.
That means you can start with one.
And if that one turns into 10, 20 or 100 later?
We can sort those too.
What can I put on a custom T-shirt?
This is where things get interesting.
Custom T-shirts can be created for almost anything, including:
- Business logos
- Names and numbers
- Birthday designs
- Holiday T-shirts
- Charity events
- Running and sports events
- Stag and hen parties
- Family occasions
- Gaming designs
- Club clothing
- Funny quotes
- Personal photographs
- Gifts
- Designs that make absolutely no sense to anyone except you
That last category is often the best one.
You can keep things simple with a small chest print or go considerably bigger with a large front or back design.
Do I need professional artwork?
Not necessarily.
If you've got beautifully prepared professional artwork ready to go, brilliant.
If you've got a PNG, JPEG or logo file, send it over.
And if what you've actually got is a screenshot accompanied by:
“Something a bit like this…”
send that too.
A real person can take a look at what you have and tell you whether it's suitable or whether we need something different before printing.
You don't need to become a graphic designer just to order a T-shirt.
Where can the design be printed?
There are plenty of possibilities.
Popular positions include:
Left chest
Perfect for business logos, club badges and more subtle designs.
Full front
Ideal when the design itself is the star of the show.
Full back
Popular for workwear, clubs, event clothing and larger graphics.
Front and back
Useful when you want a smaller logo or message on the front with more information or a larger design on the back.
The best option depends on the design and what you're using the garment for.
If you're unsure, that's exactly the sort of thing we're happy to help with.
Is one T-shirt more expensive than ordering in bulk?
The price per garment will generally be higher when producing a single personalised T-shirt than when producing a larger quantity of identical garments.
That's because some of the preparation involved is still required whether we're making one shirt or several.
Larger quantities can therefore become more economical per item.
But if you only need one, ordering 20 because they're cheaper per shirt doesn't make much sense.
Twenty cheap shirts are still considerably more expensive than the one shirt you actually wanted.
What about businesses?
One-off printing isn't only for gifts and novelty shirts.
It can be particularly useful for small businesses.
You might want to:
- Test a new workwear design
- See how your logo looks on a garment
- Produce a sample before ordering for your team
- Create one shirt for an exhibition
- Make branded clothing for a photoshoot
- Try a different print position
Starting with one garment gives you the opportunity to see the finished result before considering a larger run.
What if I need more than one?
Also fine.
Print Pot can produce custom clothing for:
- Businesses
- Staff teams
- Sports clubs
- Running groups
- Events
- Charities
- Schools and organisations
- Parties
- Community groups
As quantities increase, we'll look at the requirements and provide an appropriate quotation rather than simply multiplying the one-off price.
What about hoodies?
The same principle applies.
You don't necessarily need a huge order to create a personalised hoodie.
A custom hoodie can make a great gift, piece of club clothing, work garment or simply something completely unique.
And yes...
Putting an embarrassing quote your mate said six months ago across the back is technically a valid use of custom printing.
Whether they'll forgive you is outside our area of expertise.
What about glow-in-the-dark printing?
Things get even more interesting here.
Print Pot is preparing a new range of glow-in-the-dark printed clothing, with glow colours including:
Green • Red • Blue • Yellow
Different glow colours can also be combined within the same design.
That opens up possibilities for unusual one-off shirts as well as clothing for events, clubs, outdoor activities and Halloween.
More details on the Print Pot After Dark range will be coming soon.
How much does one custom T-shirt cost?
Print Pot custom printed clothing currently starts from £15.
The final price depends on things such as:
- The garment
- Print size
- Print position
- Number of print positions
- Type of material used
- Quantity
Rather than making you work through endless combinations yourself, tell us what you're trying to create and we'll give you a straightforward price.
How do I order one?
You don't need to know all the technical details before getting in touch.
Start with four things:
1. What garment do you want?
T-shirt, hoodie or something else.
2. What would you like printed?
Send us the design, logo, photograph or idea you've currently got.
3. Where would you like it?
Front, back, chest — or just tell us you're not sure.
4. When do you need it?
This one's important. Tell us your deadline and we'll let you know what's realistically possible.
Then we'll help with the printy bits.
Just want one?
Have one then.
Whether it's a single personalised T-shirt, a sample for your business or the most ridiculous birthday present you've ever thought of, we're happy to take a look
And you don't need perfect artwork or an encyclopaedic knowledge of garment printing before contacting us.
